Do You Want to Know The 3 Requirements for Successful Weight Loss?

Do I feel happy and at peace with myself? Do I like myself? Do I live each day with passion and purpose?

Well, did you answer yes to the 3 questions? Read them again slowly and reconsider.

Well, did you answer YES? - and did not hesitate - YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ ON - you can continue with your present diet or take on a diet and lose the access weight and you will be in shape, shortly.

Did you hesitate or said no to any question READ ON. All of us are driven by a purpose or goal - for practical reason; let's use losing weight as an example.

Be happy and at peace, with one self. - Knowingly or unknowingly we question or attack our self-worth and break our self-esteem down or perceive that we are not worthy. ( not our total being but only certain small pieces of our whole being). It might be something like physical appearance.

The mind is a very powerful part of us. The fact that "What the mind belief and conceive it will achieve" are very relevant here. Zero in on the small piece of our whole which we are not happy or uncomfortable with, acknowledge and accept it. When doing this, you will notice that there are much more to be happy and at peace with, than the few minor accusations which we ourselves make into a big issue. The unconscious processes and thoughts that inhabit your thinking dictate our self-image, and hence our feelings and actions. The way to overcome the old conditioning, which is no longer helpful to us, is to take conscious control of the brain. Nourish our minds with positive affirmations. By enforcing this, we will overcome our obstacles and it will sustain a healthy state of mind for future ventures and successes.

Do I like myself - yes, we all do. As a whole we are great and each one unique. At various stages in our lives we notice a draw back and need to fix it. How?

Live each day with passion and purpose - most of us know, when setting a goal, that it will take a lot of effort, strength of character, sincerity, self control, continued and maintained enthusiasm with a positive goal orientated attitude, to achieve it. We know, that the only way to succeed is to visualise one self, what it would be like, after reaching the goal. The self- fulfilment and glory of winning! This is the purpose, towards self - actualisation.

We know that when setting a goal we have to: - Break the goal down into small workable stages. Timed and measured interim small goals towards achieving the major goal. Reward your self on the successful completion of the smaller stages towards the major goal. (Have an Ice cream, no only one, small one :-)

The 3 Requirements for any goal are: Technical Knowledge - The "know how" and vehicle we use towards our goal (lose weight).

Acquired skill and competence - The ability to apply yourself (a little physical action) towards achieving the goal.

The passion to succeed - We may have all the knowledge, skills and competence, but without REAL PASSION to lose weight, we should not even try. Do you have enough passion? Not, re-read from the beginning or see my other Weight Loss related link.

Kind regards to all shapers.

Sports Clothes and Girls

When women started entering the world of sports, they had to deal with a lot of prejudice. The then male dominated sports industry scoffed at the idea that women would be competing in various manly sports. They believe that the place of women were in the home and not in the track and field or diamond field. Well, nowadays you won't even think that women are incapable of competing in such "manly sports". women today have shown as capable of dominating sports like track and field, tennis, basketball, etc.

But with due to the increasing number of women athletes, clothing manufacturers and sports experts have begun developing the right clothing for them. women athletes have some specific needs that need to be addressed in order for them to compete properly in some sporting events. Researchers have come up with high-tech performance fabrics that help create sports apparel that are both comfortable and function for the women athlete.

A lot of sports stores today offer a complete line of women and girls sports apparel. You can find for example, sports bras made of spandex materials that feature high necklines which provide full coverage and maximum support. Designers have thought of incorporating arched seams and used the right combination of hook-and-eye closures to provide an extremely strong hold. Some sports bras also have wide elastic panels to keep the bra in place.

Aside from the serious women athletes, a lot of women out there enter sports just to have fun or just to stay fit. There are already a lot of women sportswear stores that cater to the needs of this group of women.

If you go to your nearest department store or sports clothing shop, it is almost certain that you'll find a number of sports fashion line that mixes together unique fabrics and the newest and hottest fashion designs. Fashion designers for years have been into designing sports clothing. They have created sportswear for the various types of women sport activities. These include aerobics, fitness activities, running, yoga, golf and tennis. The main premise that fashion designers try to uphold is for women enjoy a good work out while looking attractive and feeling sexy.

This only proves that sports shops should not limit their target market to professional women athletes. They have a wide market base of women who are simply into sports just for the heck of it. And these women are more than willing to spend to get the appropriate clothing. Sports clothing stores should also offer simple women sportswear like shirts, pants, shorts, as well as various accessories in a myriad of colors and designs.

Soccer The War Game! -Looking Back To Its Origin

believe it or not, but the modern day soccer owes its origin to the barbarous war mongering nature of human beings.

There is no proper documentation that can state the date and place of origination of the most popular modern day sportSoccer. However, depending on the socio-historical facts and data we can assume that some type of a ball game was played somewhere in this planet for at least over 3000years now.

The earliest evidence of soccer was found in Kyoto, Japan where a field marked to play a ball-kicking game was found.

There is also proper documentation that supports the fact that the Chinese military forces around 2nd and 3rd century BC (Han Dynasty) played a game that involved kicking a ball into a small net. This was then an essential skill building exercise for the armed forces.

historical evidence also shows that some form of Soccer was played also by the Greeks and the Romans, however, the primitive form involved a larger team on each side. At times the team strength would go up even to around 27 people on each side. The Greeks were playing four different forms of the ball game, namely "Episkyros", "Ourania", "Pheninda" and "Keritizein". Episkyros was the closest to football. In this 2 equally numbered teams, would try to throw the ball over the heads of the other team. There was a white line between the teams and another white line behind each team. Teams would change the ball often until one of the team is forced behind the line at their end.

now, how many of you would believe that the modern day soccer actually originated as a war game?

Unbelievable, but true! The first Football (as Soccer is called in Britain) game was played by the locals of east of england, where they started a game, kicking around the severed head of a Danish prince whom they have defeated in a war. That marked the origination of football as a war game.

After this, for a long time, football was played by rival towns and villages where the objective was to move the ball to a predetermined spot. Hundreds of people would take part in these games and a single game could last a whole day. Punching, kicking, biting , everything was allowed.

The savage nature of this form of football was not much appreciated by the rulers and the Royalty took all possible steps to stop these games. King Edward III of england, passed laws in 1331 to stop the game, he was followed by King James I of Scotland in 1424. The Queens were not far behind, rather, had a more strict approach. Queen Elizabeth I of england, enacted laws that could sentence a football player to jail for a week followed by penancing in a church.

However, in spite of all their best efforts and intentions they could not stop the game. It was too popular among the masses and they loved the game.

The first approach to regularize and give a civilized form to this game was taken by the famous Eton College of england in 1815 when they established a set of rules for the games. These rules were accepted by the other schools, colleges and universities. Later, in 1848, these rules were further standardized and a new version was adopted by all the schools, college and universities. This new set of rules was known as the Cambridge Rules.

At this stage, there were actually two set of rules that were being followed in this game. Some organizations preferred to follow the rules of the Rugby School, that allowed tripping, kicking and carrying the ball, whereas the Cambridge rules prohibited all this methods.

In October, 1863, The football association was formed, when eleven London schools and clubs came together to establish a single set of rules to administer any football match that were to be played among them. On 8 December 1863, Association football and Rugby football finally split onto two different organizations.

In 1869, these rules were further amended to exclude any handling of the ball beyond the scope of acceptability and that created the foundation for the modern day sports maniaSOCCER !
